


When you get redirected to the site, you will see a black background and a message asking you to verify that you are not a robot. To put it simply, abuses this feature to bombard you with spammy content (aka ads). You can follow the instructions provided at the end of this report if you are unsure what to do. You can easily revoke a site’s permission to display the notifications if you become bored with them and decide that you no longer wish to receive them. The notifications would appear on the right side of the screen and if you clicked on them, you would be taken directly to the content. A news website would show you important news notifications on your desktop, for example. In some cases, the feature may even be useful. As long as a website is secure, you can allow it to show notifications. This “display notifications” feature is legitimate and safe to use. Agreeing to these notifications is what allows the site to show you ads on your desktop. The website is abusing a legitimate browser feature that lets sites display notifications. You may be redirected to the site, and if that were to happen, you would be immediately greeted with a browser alert saying “ wants to show notifications”. It’s not technically a virus but it’s not surprising that users refer to it as such considering it shows annoying ads. virus refers to spam ads that tricks users into allowing on their desktops.
